The Victorian Melanoma Service at the Alfred Hospital is an outpatient service for patients with biopsy proven melanoma (primary or metastatic).
The philosophy of the clinic is patient centred. Patients are fully informed and, where possible, encouraged and supported to make their own decisions regarding management.
Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of experts in dermatology, pathology, plastic surgery, medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology.
Research at The Clinic
The service keeps a large database containing more than 150 data items for each patient seen.
This database of over 7,000 patients supports our research and trials program in melanoma in diagnosis, surgery, radiation, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
We also participate in a tissue banking program for genetic and molecular research in melanoma. Please contact us for more information.
