Nurses Encouraged to Support National Bowel Cancer Screening Program

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has established 19 health services as designated providers as part of a new National Bowel Cancer Screening Program model.

These services will provide access for program participants who have received a positive faecal occult blood test (FBOT) and have no significant co-morbidities within 30 days of a GP referral.

Nurses are encouraged to support the program through their patients and can also access online videos and other resources to better understand bowel cancer screening.
