MCCC announces 2017 travel grant awards

Each year, Monash Comprehensive Cancer Consortium (MCCC) offers travel funding to enable cancer researchers employed by MCCC’s research and clinical partner organisations to present their work at interstate and international cancer conferences.  Eligible researchers submit an application and are competitively reviewed by an expert panel.

“It can be challenging for researchers to find funding for travel, especially if it’s overseas”, said Prof Gail Risbridger, Research Director.

“This program supports several of our brightest candidates to deliver high quality research at some of the best possible cancer meetings”.

“It also enables the recipients to network with their international peers and develop their career profile. Some even take the opportunity to visit their collaborators in the lab to really progress the research they are going to together”, she said.
